The 2025 SME Fund is Here: Get Up to 75% Off Trademark Registration Fees

Trademark, design, and patent registrations are essential for businesses looking to secure their intellectual property (IP) and differentiate themselves in competitive markets. To help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in safeguarding their IP rights, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Commission have launched the 2025 edition of the Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund. This initiative offers financial support in the form of vouchers, designed to help EU-based SMEs protect their intellectual property.

Overview of the SME Fund 2025

The 2025 SME Fund, building on the success of previous editions, provides financial aid to small and medium-sized businesses established in the European Union. The fund offers partial reimbursement of fees related to the protection of IP rights, such as trademarks, designs, patents, and plant variety rights. The SME Fund aims to reduce the financial burden on SMEs seeking to secure their IP, making it easier for them to innovate and grow. The support is extended to a variety of IP activities, including:

  • 90% reimbursement for IP Scan Enforcement: Services related to the enforcement of IP rights through national IP offices.
